I qualified to teach FLexercise in 2025 after completing an apprenticeship.
I trained as a fitness instructor at the age of 57, proving that it’s never too late to chase a new goal. Becoming an FLexercise instructor has completely transformed how I feel — stronger, more confident, and happier in myself. I’m passionate about helping others move, feel good, and realise that they’re capable of far more than they think.
After many years working in bars and nightclubs, delivery driving, and painting and decorating, I reached a turning point where the work began to feel like a real slog. I realised I wanted a change something I genuinely enjoyed and that made me feel good about what I was doing. Choosing to retrain as a fitness instructor was a big step, but it led me to a career that’s more fulfilling and far more rewarding than I ever expected.
My purpose as a coach is to make people happy and help them enjoy exercise (yes, really!). I’m passionate about supporting people who want to move more but don’t want to dread it. My motivation is to create fun, welcoming classes that people look forward to — where laughter is just as important as the workout and everyone leaves feeling good.
